Sofia Vergara has been unapologetically enjoying her newly single status after her divorce from ex Joe Manganiello. A source who knows Vergara told the media, “Sofia is having fun and doing her thing. She’s not looking to be tied down.”
The source went on to say that Vergara “is focused on herself and enjoying dating” and that she is “ready for this new chapter.”
Vergara and Manganiello released a statement in which they announced their plan to divorce which shocked everyone! The statement read, “we have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” The couple married in November 2015 after having dated for a while.

While 51-year-old Vergara has been enjoying her single life, if seems like her 47-year-old ex-husband Manganiello has already moved on. According to sources, Vergara is not the least bit concerned about her ex-husband moving on rather quickly. Sources said, she “is relieved to be in control of her life and is excited about what the future holds in her personal and professional life.”
“She has been surrounding herself with friends and family and feeling very proud about the projects she’s working on,” the source went on. “She’s in a great headspace all around.”
Vergara has been busy promoting her new work while Manganiello has made headlines for his blooming romance with actress Caitlin O’Connor.
According to sources, Manganiello first crossed paths with O’Connor in December last year while they both attended a party for Winning Time. The couple moved quickly as they soon made their red carpet debut together at the COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) Gala in the same month.
