With step-by-step pictures of how to plant tomato seeds and how you can grow them
Method 2-4 Drying fresh tomatoes: Determine the tomatoes you will use: Good tomato seeds add great flavor. Try to choose a good type of tomato before using it.
Ensuring the health of tomatoes: Tomatoes that are not completely ripe do not give ideal results when planting. Therefore, it is better to wait until it is completely ripe.
Cut the tomatoes in half: Use a sharp knife to cut the tomatoes in half and do this on a cutting board so that you can easily collect the tomato seeds and the inner parts you can use as juice.
Extracting the internal parts: You can use a scoop to extract the seeds, and place the sticky material in a separate container from the seeds.

Adding water: The seeds need a fermentation process before drying them. To do this by leaving it for a while in the sun with a little liquid. You can add a few tablespoons of water to the tomato seeds and cover them with a plastic cover. And put holes in the plastic cover to distribute air.
Washing the seeds: After several days, you will notice that the tomato juice and flesh produced froth at the top of the water and the seeds remained at the bottom. So gargle the bowl with water, sift the seeds, wash them with lukewarm water, and make sure to clean them well.
Drying the seeds: After rinsing the seeds, shake them in a sieve a little to remove excess water as much as possible. Then place them on a tray covered with coffee filters or wax paper, and place them in an open place at 70 degrees. Use your fingers to move the seeds and prevent them from sticking to each other.
Examining the seeds: When the seeds are completely dry and not clumping together and are ready for use, make sure they are completely dry and not wet, because if they are even slightly wet, they will rot and bacteria will grow on them.
Seed sterilization: You need to sterilize the seeds to kill any existing bacteria and thus help the plant to be stronger. To produce more tomatoes, it is preferable to leave them in the open air. You can soak the mixture of seeds in 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 liter of water for 15 minutes.
Drying the seeds again: Continue the drying process as before and leave the seeds on the tray for several days to make sure they are completely dry and keep them in a box.
